Inside the basket, you will find a 1.5" thick and firm, organic flannel-encased futon. Our specially designed futons provide a firm, yet comfortable nursery for your baby, free of chemical toxins and pollutants which all may play a role in preventing SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome). The basket is then lined with a pre-washed organic cotton chambray dust ruffle liner with ties. An optional organic cotton fitted sheet is available to cover and protect your Moses basket futon. This basket is portable and beautiful. Not only is it a perfect choice for your baby, it makes an excellent gift, as well. Our crib mattress is designed with your baby's comfort in mind. The Natural Organic Mattress sets the standard for organic cotton mattresses. We start with finest European offset coil spring system developed. Each coil flexes independently for maximum sensitivity to body contours, maximum body support, and minimum friction. With our crib mattress, your baby rests well, and so do you! We then wrap our sophisticated innerspring unit with generous layers of pre-compressed, first cut staple organic cotton padding. The mattress is then expertly hand-tufted (not mechanically button-tufted, like some beds) with European tufting straps to keep the cotton in place, and provide optimal support. Finally, we wrap the entire bed in our own special 100% organic cotton fabric ticking. Our organic cotton ticking is neither dyed nor bleached and is woven into a beautiful camel brown fabric, and our organic cotton fabric is the ultimate choice for people with chemical sensitivities. * This mattress is flame retardant-free (no harmful chemicals added), and requires a doctor's prescription to meet federal regulations. Any licensed health professional in your state may provide this simple prescription that states "patient requires bed made without chemical flame retardants." Organic Cotton Crib Futons for Baby We use 100% organic cotton batting at the core of our futons for a firm foundation, and then we cover it with our 100% organic cotton fabric. No pesticides, no treatments--100% organic! We offer different thicknesses of futons to accommodate different needs and desires. Our 3" and 4" futons are soft, supple, healthy and perfect for your baby! Our 6" and 8" versions add even more loft to our comfy cozy futons. For added protection for your new futon, add an organic cotton zippered futon cover. For an extra special treat, top your new futon with one of our organic cotton comforters. For added color, add one of our organic cotton comforter covers as well! Please note that organic cotton futons are free of chemical flame retardants. A doctor's prescription is required to purchase an Abundant Earth futon. A simple prescription from a stated-licensed M.D., naturopath or chiropractor simply stating that "patient requires bedding without chemical flame retardants" will suffice. This 'wrap' is added to the inside of the futon. The wool also adds extra resiliency, dust mite resistance, thermal comfort and moisture resistance. A top mattress serves as a buffer between your body and a conventional mattress or futon. The organic cotton top mattress is stuffed with fluffy organic cotton and then covered in 100% organic cotton fabric.' The natural wool and cotton top mattress is stuffed with fluffy natural wool and then covered in 100% organic cotton fabric. Please note that the organic cotton and the wool/cotton top mattresses are free of chemical flame retardants. A doctor's prescription is required to purchase an Abundant Earth all-cotton top mattress.' The wool/cotton top mattress is also free of chemical flame retardants but does not require a prescription. Choose from our medium-weight colored flannel, heavy-weight Cream flannel, colorgrown organic striped flannel, or our light-weight Chambray, for those who find flannel too warm.
